Terms & privacy
Terms of use for YadenOne Books · last updated 6 October 2026
1. Provider
YadenOne Books is provided by Yaden Ltd., 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@yadenone.com.
2. Scope and who may use it
These terms apply to every use of YadenOne Books. The service is intended for businesses, in particular UK limited companies, and for people acting for them. By registering you confirm that you are acting in the course of a business and are authorised to accept these terms for it.
3. The service
YadenOne Books is an online bookkeeping aid. It provides records, reports, deadline reminders, document storage, imports and exports. It does not submit anything to Companies House or HMRC and is not accounting, tax, legal or financial advice. Dates, rates, calculations and estimates are for orientation only. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your data and for your filings, payments and records.
4. Account and security
You must provide accurate registration details and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account and must tell us without delay if you suspect unauthorised access. We may block accounts that are used unlawfully, endanger the security of the service or other users, or breach these terms.
5. Free trial, price and payment
New accounts can use the service free of charge for 7 days. Afterwards, access is bought in blocks of 30 days: €9.99 per block (Standard) or €19.99 per block (PRO, including the freelancer panel), plus VAT where applicable, paid by card (Stripe) or PayPal. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal. If access is not renewed the account is locked; your data is kept until you delete the account. Payments for access that has already started are non-refundable unless the law requires otherwise. We may change prices for future blocks; the price shown at checkout applies.
6. Your content and permitted use
You keep all rights to the data and documents you enter or upload. You grant us the right to store and process them only to provide the service. You must not upload unlawful content or malware, attempt to access other accounts, overload or probe the service, or use it to circumvent legal obligations. You are responsible for having the right to process any personal data of third parties that you enter.
7. Availability, backups and your records
We run the service with reasonable care and take regular backups, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability; maintenance, updates and events outside our control may cause interruptions. You remain responsible for keeping the records the law requires (in the UK usually for at least six years). Please export your data regularly (CSV and ZIP under Export) and keep your own copies of important documents.
8. Company records panel
Where we store official company documents for you in the “Company records” panel, they are provided for your convenience. The originals and the official register at Companies House remain authoritative. You must check documents for accuracy and tell us promptly about errors.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for intent, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, penalties or surcharges imposed by authorities, or loss of data that you could have avoided by exporting regularly. Our total liability arising out of or in connection with the service in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in those 12 months. The service is provided “as is”; we give no warranty that it is suitable for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows.
10. Indemnity
You indemnify us against claims of third parties and authorities, and against reasonable costs of defence, that arise because you have breached these terms or the law, or because of data or documents you uploaded.
11. Intellectual property
The software, design, texts and trade marks of YadenOne belong to us or our licensors. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your own business during the access period.
12. Data protection
We process personal data as described in our privacy notice (see link below). We store the account details, entries and documents you provide only to provide the service. Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal; we do not store card details. Each account can only see its own data. You can export your data and delete your account at any time under Settings.
13. Term, termination and changes
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may end the service or an account with 30 days’ notice, or immediately for good cause; in that case you can export your data during the notice period or, for good cause, for a reasonable time afterwards. We may update these terms for good reason (for example changes in law or in the service); we will tell you in the service or by email, and the changes apply from the next access block if you do not object by stopping use.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, with London as the place of jurisdiction. If a provision is invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force.
